Award winning Executive Chef Sam Schiffman began his culinary journey in the kitchen more than 12 years ago. After graduating from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in 2009, Sam worked in steakhouses and French Fine Dining restaurants from Ashville, NC to Sarasota, Fl, before returning to his hometown of Columbus, GA. Chef Sam join 219 Food and Spirits as Executive Chef in 2016. He brings his varied experience and true love of food to 219. For Sam, having the freedom to cook the way he wants, and the ability to create amazing specials each week allows him to keep it different. Sam believes that the most flavorful cuisine is made with the highest quality products. Presentation is also important to Sam, and he enjoys everyone first eating with their eyes, but ultimately it is the flavor that keeps everybody coming back.
